Allspice (also called Jamaica pepper

Allspice (also called Jamaica pepper, Kurundu, Myrtle pepper, pimento, allspice berries, or newspice)[1] is a spice which is the dried unripe fruit of the Pimenta dioica plant, a tree native to the West Indies, southern Mexico and Central America. The tree Pimenta diocia is from the myrtle family (Myrtaceae), and it is very valued for its berries. The allspice was named because the flavor of the berry is like a mixture of cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. It is used very much in baking, mostly for making mincemeat and mixed pickling spice. It was discovered first by the early Spanish explorers, who mistook it for a type of pepper.[2] Allspice is the only spice grown in the Western Hemisphere.[3] But after that, the wild trees were cut down to get the berries and only a few allspice are left. There are many plantations in Mexico and Central America, too. However, the best allspice comes from Jamaica where the weather and soil are best for the berries.[3]

detecting counterfeit products

Also, counterfeits of the popular brands have emerged.
Fortunately, it has become possible to detect these drugs and their derivatives as adulterants and counterfeits by using modern sensitive and selective analytical techniques [e.g., liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry, Fourier transform (FT) with near infrared spectrometry, and FT with Raman spectroscopy], although some conventional approaches have also been employed.
We critically review the literature, and present generalized strategies, including flow charts, for characterizing adulteration of PDE-5 inhibitors in HDSs, and detecting and categorizing counterfeit products.

herbarium materials

This paper illustrates the result of an ethnobotanical study carried out in the Bingöl region of Turkey. The aim of this study was to document the medicinal uses of plants in the district of Bingöl province. The ethnobotanical results contain quantitative information on the diversity of medicinal plants documented in the region. This study, conducted between 2010 and 2012, gathered information on the medicinal plant species traditionally used in Bingöl, Turkey and the local names of these plants. In the scope of the study, medicinal plant species and related information was collected; herbarium materials were prepared; and the specimens were labelled. The information was collected through semi-structured interviews, questionnaires and personal observations. Results were analysed using quantitative indices of information consent factor (ICF/FIC), fidelity level (FL) and use value (UV). A total of 93 medical plants belonging to 38 families were identified in the region. Among these, 80 species grew wild and 13 species were cultivated. The most common medicinal plant families were Asteraceae (14), Rosaceae (12), Lamiaceae (10) and Apiaceae (7). The most common preparations were infusion and decoction. A total of 220 medicinal uses (remedies) were recorded. The use of traditional medicine was still widespread among the people in Bingöl. However, due to the increasing health service facilities in the area, herbal medicine seemed to be more related to health care and disease prevention than cure. There is a gradual loss of traditional knowledge regarding the use of medicinal plants in the younger generations.

Always store your hair serums in a dark bottle and in a cool and dark place. Since essential oils are extremely volatile, excessive heat or light can render them ineffective.
Do not use extra serum in hopes of getting better or faster results. Applying too much serum can make your hair sticky and oily, nullifying its purpose altogether.
When applying serum, your hair should be damp but not dripping wet.
Avoid using excessive heat and styling products, as they can make your hair brittle.
Opt for a natural or homemade shampoo to wash your hair. We’ve got some easy recipes for DIY shampoos and even homemade dry shampoos that you can make.
Avoid rubbing your hair with a towel after washing it. It creates friction and can make your hair frizzy. Simply pat dry your hair to soak up the water.
